President Calderon needs to setup a shrine right now to the Voodoo God "Jobu" of Major League fame. Recently, the Mexican President taking a page from the Obama Handbook, has been seen in major sporting events (which only means soccer games in Mexico).
The problem is that the team he's rooting for, seems to always loose.

Exhibit A: El Presidente (third from the left) sits in the luxury box next to #1 Ranked Pachuca team owner, Jesus Martinez (in light blue), even do the home team barely won that semifinal game, they lost the following week to heavy underdogs Pumas in the Mexican League Championship game.
Exhibit B: Felipe Calderón visits the Mexican National Team just one week later at a training session in preparation for the World Cup Qualifier against El Salvador, México lost that game 2 to 1.
UPDATE 7/6/2009: President Calderon's National Action Party just lost control of the Mexican Congress in mid-term elections, the streak continues!!!
